When our client from Forest Hill, Toronto reached out, they were feeling frustrated with their dated ensuite layout. The existing space lacked privacy, offered very limited functionality for a busy family, and didn’t reflect the luxury they wanted in a master bathroom renovation. They dreamed of a modern remodel that combined elegance with practical daily comfort. Their main request was clear: add privacy, soundproof the adjacent wall, expand the shower area, and create a space where multiple family members could comfortably use the bathroom at the same time.

Creating a Private “Water Room” – Our Design Approach

To address the privacy concern, we introduced a fully enclosed water room, placing the toilet inside a sleek glass partition with proper soundproofing. This change allowed the family to use the full bathroom simultaneously while maintaining discretion—an elegant and practical solution often requested in high-end ensuite bathroom renovations.

Beyond privacy, our client wanted the bathroom to feel more open, spa-like, and modern. Our team redesigned the entire layout to maximize flow and functionality. One of the major upgrades was removing the old deck-mounted tub and replacing it with a freestanding modern tub.
