Kids' Bath
A bath design for children should also have some fun.
Creating a space that draws the ids in makes bathing routines easier for parents, and it gives kids ownership over the space as well. When you are planning a bath for young people, start by looking at the space from their point of view…literally. Try lowering your sight line to a child’s eye level to get a sense of how they see and navigate the space. Put the most colorful aspects of the design where they can see it. Establish low drawers for a child’s personal items or a stool to boost them to sink level. If two or more children share the space, creating separate drawers, hooks, or towels will encourage a sense of pride in home and self.

Material and fixtures
Choose scrubbable paint or tile for the walls and nonslip tile for the floor. Look for countertops with smooth, rounded edges. If you are stickler for cleanliness, consider materials that incorporate antibacterial protection, such as some engineered stone or ceramic countertops.
Resist the urge to install child-size toilets and sinks that will have to be replaces as the kids grow or when you decide to sell the housed. Instead make it easier for children to use standard fixtures. Child-size toilet sit and non-skid step stools help kids navigate safely and comfortably.
Avoid installing shower doors on the tub if your kids are too young to bathe on their own. Shower curtains that can be pushed out of the way make it much easier for adult to assist a young child.
Size and layout.
A children’s bath needs not be larger or smaller than a typical family bath. Even the youngest children will grow to adult size in just a few years. If two or more children will use the bathroom at once, consider compartmentalizing the toilet and including a double vanity.
One accommodation to consider: lowering the height of light switches to 36 to 42 inches from the floor. This makes them equally accessible to adults and children.
